John Swallow Attorney General Candidate:

John Swallow for Attorney General

  • Served as Utah’s Chief Civil Deputy A.G.
  • Served as Attorney General in Utah
  • Served as former lawmaker in the Utah House of Representatives

John Swallow served as Utah’s Chief Civil Deputy A.G. for three years, overseeing seven divisions and all litigation involving the State of Utah. He was falsely accused of corruption. John Swallow charges were cleared and he was compensated by the state of Utah.

  • Lifelong Ledyard resident, married with three children
  • Focused on best investment decisions for the Town long term as we have a finite amount of tax dollars to utilize in the most effective means
  • Believes in Economic Development and some levels of  regionalization in Town as a means to offset the continued  declines in State revenue sharing.

LINDA DAVIS -

  • Broker/Associate, RE/MAX Home Team with 37 years of experience

  • Administrator, Ledyard Community Forum on Facebook
  • Volunteer, Ledyard Food Pantry
  • Resident  of Ledyard since 1972, married with one son, a graduate of Ledyard schools
  • Believes in common sense solutions to control spending through regionalization, reorganization, and sharing of town resources
  • Actively promotes and advocates for open and transparent government.

    • Employed over 30 years at Electric Boat
    • Supports re-development of existing commercial areas in Gales Ferry and Ledyard Center
    • Encourages land use regulations that allow for better development, while maintaining Ledyard’s rural character and supports the need                         to maintain the quality of necessary services and education

    • 3 terms on Ledyard Town Council
    • Served 7 years on Ledyard Economic Development Committee (3 years as chairman)
    • Advocates smart / responsible Economic Development to reduce tax burden
    • Encourages responsible improvements in our town infrastructure
    • Currently serves as CT Army National Guard Chaplain
    • Prior service as a CT Army National Guard Infantryman

About

The mission of the 40 member Ledyard RTC is to ensure that Republican candidates are elected and appointed to local, state, and federal offices and that the Town of Ledyard has a fair and open government with integrity and accountability.

 The principal objective of the Ledyard Republican Town Committee is the selection of a slate of candidates for all municipal offices, individuals to town commissions, boards, and agencies, and for delegates to party conventions for the Town of Ledyard

 The Town Committee helps plan and assist in the financing of campaigns for the endorsed candidates for local and state elections, establish the party platform, stay informed of issues facing the Town, and give guidance and assistance to elected officials in achieving the goals of the endorsed platform.
