  • Focused on best investment decisions for the Town long term as we have a finite amount of tax dollars to utilize in the most effective means

  • Married to husband Scott for 25 years; 4 children ages 16-21

    • Married to Maureen for over 28 year with 3 children:  Emily, Megan and Kevin, whom all proudly graduated from the  Ledyard School System

  • Married 11 years with 2 children, one of whom is enrolled in Gallup Hill Elementary School

Believes in:

  • Regardless of political affiliation, the education of our children should be the #1 objective
  • A Board of Education where its members support a healthy group dynamic and respect vs. conformity
  • Community inclusion in meetings and key decisions that shape our school system
  • Being fully transparent to foster respect within the community as well as encourage the community’s trust in the school system
  • Decisions that are approached strategically with the objective of positively impacting the school system long term rather than single issue resolution

  • Ledyard is a great place to live, I want to be a contributor to this community.  I am at a point in my life where I have the capacity to serve Ledyard.  A successful and well-respected school district is the cornerstone for a town like ours to thrive.
  • The elements that need to be in place are: passionate teachers, a strong leadership team, and a school board that is there to bring our town’s vision to light.  
  • When those elements are in place and working well together, the best teachers will want to come here, the best administrators will want to come here, and families will want to live here.

  • Current student of Three Rivers Community college pursuing an A.S. General Studies to transfer to Eastern Connecticut State University for a B.A. in political science

  • The power that education has on the present and future of the community
  • The strong effect that the decisions made by the Board of Education can and will have on students
  • The trust that is given to us for the purpose of providing the best possible education for the townspeople of Ledyard
  • The Board of Ed. is a team that should work together to make this challenging fiscal time as positive as possible.
  • Our purpose is to set policy and provide a budget that sustains the education alongside the Town council and Superintendent of Ledyard

  • Graduate of Eastern Connecticut State University and Dean College
  • Degree in Psychology, with a Concentration in Child Psychology
  • Experienced Musician, Composer, Private Music Educator
  • Employed at Mohegan Sun for +15 years
  • Occasionally conducts Line of Duty seminars at the Connecticut State Police Academy
  • Principled conservative who believes in priorities and personal responsibility
  • Father of 2nd Grade and Pre-K students in Ledyard Public Schools
